NLP

I use NLP in my Norwich Practice to help change unproductive thoughts and unwanted feelings.

Neuro Linguistic Programming is based on the study of succesful people . How is it that some  exceed in life and others are prone to disappointment? How is it that some people can get over their fears and phobias and others can’t? NLP techniques change negative thought processes and replace them with ones that work. NLP deals with the symptoms and many clients like its direct approach. Phobias, bad habits and confidence issues for example can be dealt with sometimes in a matter of minutes with NLP.

Neuro Linguistic Programming was devised by Dr Richard Bandler and John Grinder back in the 1970’s. They were studying something called the meta-model which involved breaking down the language people used to describe how they were feeling. They devised that people used Generalizations, deletions and distortions in their language and to get to the route of what they were saying their language could be broken down by asking appropriate questions. Bandler and Grinder wrote their first book together called The Structure of Magic in 1975.

They then sought the help of Milton Erickson known as”The Grandfather of Modern Hypnosis”, Gregory Bateson and Virginia Satir to develop the foundations of NLP.

Bandler and Grinder studied people who were successful at whatever they did whether it be in business or getting over their fears. They then developed a series of mental exercises that changed the way that people think so they could get over fears and phobias or become more motivated.

In 1980 Bandler and Grinder parted company to develop their own idea’s on how NLP should move forward.

NLP techniques are extremely effective in a trance but under hypnosis are even more effective as changes are being made at a deeper subconscious level.

I sometimes use NLP techniques in my Norwich practice to remove anxiety, stress, fears, trauma, OCD, eating disorders, phobia’s and change patterns of thought.
